About this site

I started this blog in 2004 on a server at home. Since then, it’s been a place to jot down thoughts and observations from everyday life.

Profile

Takashi Sakamoto

I’m Takashi, an experience designer and photographer based in Tokyo.

I shape digital and mobility experiences and explore everyday life through photography.

My design practice began in graphic design and grew into information architecture and UX design for websites and apps. I wrote IA Thinking, worked on EV interfaces and connected apps at Nissan, and helped develop mobility services at dots. Since 2023, I’ve been designing HMI and products for Level 4 autonomous vehicles at TIER IV.

My photography is rooted in visual observations—of light and shadow, shapes and spaces, and the presence of people. Through scenes both familiar and unfamiliar, I explore how I see the world and what draws my attention.
